What is Proyecta Solar 2025?
Proyecta Solar 2025 is the eighth edition of the most important event of the solar industry in Chile and Latin America, organized by the Chilean Solar Energy Association (ACESOL). This meeting will bring together more than 1,500 attendees, including authorities, international experts, academics and representatives of the energy sector, to discuss and make visible technological advances, regulatory challenges and outstanding experiences around solar energy and self-consumption.
Workshop: “The ABC of the Electricity Market in Energy Transition”
One of the most anticipated events within the program is the workshop entitled “The ABC of the Electricity Market in Energy Transition”, which will take place on Tuesday, May 27 at 2:45 pm at the W Santiago Hotel. This workshop will be taught by Ana Lía Rojas, recognized expert in energy markets and former general manager of the Chilean Renewable Energy Association (ACERA).
The objective of the workshop is to demystify and explain the fundamental pillars of the Chilean electricity market in the context of the global energy transition. Topics such as the structure of the national electricity system, the challenges of integrating variable renewable energies, and opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors in the new energy model will be addressed.

• 09:00 hrs: Official opening with the participation of the Undersecretary of Energy, Luis Felipe Ramos.
• 10:00 hrs: Panel on thermal batteries and their role in industrial decarbonization, with José Miguel Cardemil (PUC).
• 11:30 hrs: Conference on the DSO (Distribution System Operator) model and smart networks, with Daniel Olivares (UAI).
• 14:45 hrs: Workshop “The ABC of the Electricity Market in Energy Transition”, with Ana Lía Rojas.
Wednesday, May 28
• 09:00 hrs: Panel on energy storage and self-consumption as key tools for a cleaner and decentralized matrix.
• 10:30 am: Conference on technological trends in storage and hybrid solar plants, with Carlos Hernández (DNV).
• 12:00 hrs: Presentation on the impact of self-consumption on the reduction of energy expenditure, with Rodrigo Palma (U. de Chile).

Project Solar Award 2025
In this edition, the Proyecta Solar 2025 Award will be presented to Rodrigo Palma Behnke, Full Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Chile and director of the Solar Energy Research Center (SERC Chile). This recognition highlights his career in research, training of new generations and significant contributions to the development of the solar sector in Chile.
Solar and Networking Fair
During the two days of the event, a fair will be developed with more than 30 exhibitors in a space of 2,000 m², offering networking opportunities, business rounds and access to the latest technological innovations in solar energy.
